La Sportiva markets the G2 Evo as the lightest and warmest high altitude technical boot on the market and they're not getting any argument from us. This puppy is designed for extreme mountaineering, technical alpine climbing, and prolonged exposure to frigid temperatures.
The G2 Evo is packed with technical features, but it all starts with the double boot design. The shell features a 4-layer insulating structure, from water-repellent Cordura all the way to a slim aluminum layer for warmth retention. The inner boot features EVA single density foam and a dual velcro closure. Of course, the boot is compatible with automatic crampons and features a Vibram Matterhorn sole with Sportiva's Impact Brake System.
