Wild Country Revo Belay Device

The Revo is the only automatically locking, bi-directional assisted belay device which has a completely panic-proof locking mechanism. It can be loaded in either orientation and will capture a fall. Like other assisted belay devices, its inertia reel will activate automatically to grip the rope once it passes four meters per second. It also eliminates the handle in traditional devices to unlock the system and lower a climber.

Folks will argue that this is the safest belay device on the market and it certainly deserves the applause. Outside of pure safety, however, the Revo is easy to thread, equally at home with right-handers and southpaws, and feeds like a dream.
